The Academy consists of four departments: Department of Theatre and Radio, Department of Film and Television, Department of Drama and the Centre for Theatre and Film Studies. The teaching process at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels is tied to intensive artistic and research work, and is strongly based on individual instruction. Each year the students of Academy's Department of Film and Television present their practical work in a number of films and television dramas.

To some, Seppl is an eccentric. To others a shining example of a modern man living according to his heart, without a care in the world. Inspired by the Legend of Kralj Matjaž, who ruled Carinthia (Austria) in the Middle Ages, he has spent at least the last 20 years following few of society’s rules to the constant disappointment of his family. When the family comes to visit, Seppl’s method and madness further illuminate this utterly mesmerizing character.
