The Films

The École des Médias is UQAM'S newly created centre for media studies. It belongs to a long tradition of film, television and interactive media training that has established UQAM as an important academic centre in this field, in Québec and Canada. Our programs are meant to provide practical training in conception, direction, cinematography and editing while at the same time they allow students to pursue a theoretical and critical reflection on the practices of media communication. New programs of film scoring, cultural production and film studies have also been created. Our goal is to inspire our students and favour creative autonomy in their learning process.
