
Past Festivals: 2007
Next Reel International Film Festival, held October 9-12, featured 67 narrative, documentary and experimental shorts from young filmmakers from around the world. The festival was held in Singapore to celebrate the opening of New York University's new Tisch School of the Arts Asia campus.
Work was featured from 31 film schools representing 22 countries, including Argentina, Australia, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Egypt, Finland, Germany, Hong Kong, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Korea, Nigeria, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, South Africa, Sweden, and the United States.
Special guests of Next Reel 2007 included director Peng Xiaolian, cinematographer Jong Lin, and television commercial producer Edmund Cheung.
